Zero tolerance

Zero tolerance for sexual harassment, sexual assault and violence

Msafiri has no tolerance for sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual assault, physical violence, threats, stalking or intimidation — by or against hosts, guests, co-hosts, cleaners, caretakers or our staff. This applies at the property, at check-in and check-out, in in-app messages and calls, and in reviews. A single substantiated report is enough to permanently remove an account and every listing on it.

  • Unwanted sexual comments, advances, propositions or requests for a guest's personal contact details
  • Entering a guest's private space uninvited, or any unwanted touching or indecent exposure
  • Hidden or undisclosed cameras, or any recording device in a bedroom, bathroom or sleeping area
  • Physical violence, assault, threats of harm, brandishing a weapon or intimidating a guest
  • Stalking, monitoring a guest's movements, or persistent unwanted contact after being asked to stop
  • Retaliation against a guest or host who reports a concern in good faith

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then report to us through the in-app safety option. Reports are handled confidentially by trained staff and we never require you to face the other person.
